Type or write your answers. Write in complete sentences; use

grammar, reflect the question, and punctuate properly.

the disease? (Is it caused by a pathogen, virus,

Find a picture of the virus or bacterium.
4. What body system or systems does it primarily affect?
5. What are the symptoms of the disease? What do doctors use to determine that someone has contracted the disease?
6. How do doctors treat the disease? (Include medicines, quarantine, or other modalities).
7. Is it contagious? How does it spread?
8. Is it curable? Can the symptoms be alleviated, if not removed? If so how is it cured?
9. How do you prevent the disease from spreading to others?
10. What public health strategies have been developed to prevent diseases?
11. References will be submitted with the rough draft.
